Your day starts at 10.30am with an guided waterfront walk in front of our "Three Graces" and a selfie at the brand new lifelike statues of the Beatles in front of the iconic waterfront buildings. The statues were paid for by the Cavern Club and cost £250,000 however they have totally transformed this location with lots more visitors and they are also very close to the Liverpool Cruise Terminal and therefore this tour is a great idea as a Shore Excursion.

There are many shipping links at this location for example the Titanic memorial and the Cunard Building and your guide will point out for you the “Dazzle ship” Mersey Ferry the colourful design was by Sir Peter Blake who designed the cover for the Sergeant Pepper Album Next, your fun Liverpool tour guide will take you to the new Museum of Liverpool for an 8 minute panoramic Beatles film with archive footage.

Your easy guided walking tour continues in the Albert Docks passing the Billy Fury statue through the World Heritage Site passing the Queen Victoria Monument to Castle Street and the Town Hall with its balcony where the Beatles made their homecoming after their world tour in 1964.

You will then have free time at leisure to buy lunch and souvenirs & we then suggest that guests use their Mersey Ferry River Cruise ticket on the 14:00 river Cruise and cross the river & stay on the Ferry at Seacombe Ferry Terminal but disembark at 14:30pm at Woodside Ferry Terminal.

"Woodside Ferry Terminal is built in a pretty area with perhaps one of the finest examples of a "Regency Period Square and the Birkenhead Town Hall only 5 minutes walk away. It is also less than 10 minutes walk to the very much overlooked Birkenhead Priory with unrivalled views from St Mary's Church Tower in to the historic Cammell Laird Shipyard with many famous ships being launched including the CSS Alabama, Ark Royal. This whole area is worthy of being a tourist attraction in its own right, St Mary's Church being earmarked for demolition for construction of a new dry dock so enjoy it while its still there. There is also a brilliant heritage tramway which after a very short ride for around £3.00 per person takes you to their transport museum which is truly a hidden gem"

Your ticket for the day includes entrance to the U-boat story, this fits very well with the overall feel of your day as you will have learned how the new Liverpool One area was built for our European Capital of Culture year of 2008 on land that was fire bombed by the German's during the Liverpool Blitz in May 1941. You can also visit a World War 2 museum in Liverpool City Centre which is a secret underground bunker which remains untouched and was the location where the movement of the ships in the Western Approaches was monitored in secret during the whole of the Battle of the Atlantic.

There is a lovely cafe in the Woodside Ferry Terminal and you can then return to Liverpool with breathtaking views of the waterfront on either the 15:30, 16:30 or 17:30 ferry.

If you are tight for time and want to do something else in Liverpool during the afternoon then simply stay on the ferry at Woodside and you can be back in Liverpool at 15:00 (or if you took the 13:00 cruise from Liverpool you could be back in Liverpool for 14:00 so there is lots of flexibility with this tour).

The British Music Experience is the UK’s Museum of Popular Music – a place where visitors can use an interactive audio visual guide and relive the moments that helped put British music on the map. After a five-year run at The O2, London, the BME is now proudly open on Liverpool waterfront in the iconic Cunard Building.

Boasting an unrivalled collection of stage outfits, objects and instruments (including Noel Gallagher’s Union Jack Guitar), the BME charts the beginnings, rise and influence of British pop from 1945 through the rise of Skiffle Music, the influence of Buddy Holly and of course the Beatles to the present day. In addition to an incredible collection of artefacts and memorabilia ¬– which includes some of David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust costumes and the original handwritten lyrics to ‘Blue Monday’ – the BME also covers the impact that British music had on the culture, fashion (the unbelievably tiny dresses worn by the Spice Girls!), art and politics of the time. There are many displays which become even more real when you see lots of the music statues and venues in the city itself there’s a tremendous display of outfits worn by Queen and your guide will explain how and why Freddie Mercury stayed in the Liverpool during the 60’s.

The BME includes galleries, learning zones, audio visual experiences including an awesome full size Hologram of Boy George on stage, you can play Gibson and other guitars and record music in an interactive instrument studio. There is also a dance area and a live music venue.

This 6-hour tour starts & finishes at the Cruise Terminal where you will meet your fun local Tour Guide.

The tour showcases the city centre in the footsteps of the Fab4. It starts on Canada Boulevard with its Canadian Maple trees as you leave the Cruise Terminal. You are immediately greeted by the iconic Liver Birds the height of a double decker bus towering above the Liver Buildings. Your guide will explain the day and tell the history of the waterfront buildings which include the Italianate Cunard Buildings which together we all the "Three Graces" & on week days you will see inside the Port of Liverpool Buildings with its sumptuous marble interior exuding wealth and representing Liverpool perfectly as it once stood at the helm of the British Empire.

This tour has something for everyone and is great fun & you will then have time to take fun "Selfies" at the new larger than life Beatles statues unveiled in 2016 & generously paid for by the Cavern Club.

Maritime History

With such an important maritime history it is hard to find anywhere else in the world where you can take such photos in front of the Cunard and Port of Liverpool Buildings and learn how they have recently been used for Hollywood films including Fantastic Beasts, Florence Foster Jenkins and your guide will explain the future development plans for Liverpool Waterfront in order to retain our World Heritage Site status.

Next its a short walk to the Museum of Liverpool which is the UK's newest National Museum where you will enjoy  a panoramic Beatles film with archive footage.

The tour continues in the Albert Dock, passing the Billy Fury Statue & Maritime Museum through the World Heritage Site passing the Town Hall Balcony where the Beatles made their appearance on their return to Liverpool after the Edd Sullivan show and with the emergence of Beatlemania.

Liverpool after European Capital of Culture 2008!

You’ll see the new £1billiion leisure and shopping area "Liverpool One" which was rebuilt on the devastated bombed out area of the city from the Blitz in the 1940's and this was only possible as Liverpool won the bid to host the European Capital of Culture year in 2008 which kickstarted the regeneration and resulted in such a vibrant city.

No tour would be complete without the Beatles !

Next its a mini magical mystery walk along Mathew Street and subject to availability before 12 noon we visit the Cavern Club itself where the Beatles played 292 times between 1961 & 1963.

We leave the Cavern & its wall of fame with an incredible array of bricks representing each and every group who have appeared at the Cavern since its opening in 1957, we pass the statues of Cilla Black and Eleanor Rigby & make our way to William Brown Street.

World Heritage Site

William Brown Street is an integral part of the World Heritage Site rich in American connections and dates back to the very earliest times in the Borough of Liverpool 800 years ago in 1207 at which time all that would have existed was a small fishing creek.

Nowadays it is home to St Georges Hall, the World Museum, the Walker Art Gallery (which houses paintings of Henry VIII & Elizabeth 1) & you will visit the stunning Victorian Round Reading Rooms where there are also rest rooms.

After a break to buy refreshments you willl board your air conditioned executive Motor Coach or luxury MPV for a panoramic City tour of Liverpool City Centre including the Georgian Quarter and Chinatown where you will find the largest Chinese Arch outside of mainland China.

"If you want a Cathedral we've got one to spare!"

As we take a short walk along Hope Street you guide will point out typical Georgian features on the houses and you'll take a selfie at the birthplace of John Lennon.  You'll see both of our cathedrals and see inside the Anglican Cathedral which is awesome and is in fact the World's fifth largest cathedral & there will also be a short stop and chance to buy a "half" in perhaps Liverpool's most ornate pub called the "Phil" which was John Lennon's local.

Leafy suburbs & parks

Next we travel through the second largest park in Europe to Penny Lane & John's first house until he was 5 years old, 9 Newcastle Road all with "Blue Suburban Skies!".  and then we continue to see Strawberry Field Gates and see outside John Lennon's second home called Mendips where he lived with his Aunt Mimi for 18 years until 1963.

Its a short drive then to Paul McCartney's childhood home and we stop for a few minutes to take photos before returning to Liverpool via "Ringoland" the area where Ringo was brought up close to the City Centre.
