Socially Distanced Guided Tour Description 

Discover Liverpool’s connections to the World with a wonderful socially distanced waterfront walk - The walk starts outside the Maritime Museum then explores a section of the Royal Albert Dock, the Pier Head World Heritage Site and ‘Three Graces’ and continues through historic Castle Street and Town Hall, past the Cavern Club and on to the Cultural Quarter of William Brown Street, including World Museum, The Central Library Walker Art Gallery and St George’s Hall, adjacent to Lime Street Station.  The walk is conducted in small group sizes at a safe social distance for all visitors.

Tour Route  

This walk from the Maritime Museum explores three World Heritage sites, from the Royal Albert Dock complex, crosses the sea lock from the Canning Dock, to the River Mersey and on to the Pier Head, past the Museum of Liverpool and Leeds Liverpool Canal Link and Mersey Ferry Terminal.


There is an opportunity to take pictures of the Beatles Statues as well as the Port of Liverpool, Cunard Building and The Liverpool Buildings, where the impressive original Liverbirds can be seen on top of two impressive domes.


The walk continues through Castle Street and its stunning banking and insurance buildings, through the Cavern Quarter, passed the Cavern Club, where the Beatles played and on to William Brown Street.


The walk concludes at William Brown Street where the guide will introduce the impressive Victorian Buildings and former road from London to the Port of Liverpool, including the sites of World Museum, The Central Library & Picton Reading Rooms, St George’s Hall and Walker Art Gallery (adjacent to Lime Street Station.
