Walk 1 - Liverpool Waterfront, Albert Docks & the Titanic
This group tour starts at the coach drop off point at the Albert Dock (Postcode L3 4AE) and your fun local tour guide will explain the importance of this area & how Liverpool has thrived by trading on the River Mersey which is the lifeblood of our City. You will pass places like the Beatles Story, The Tate Gallery, Maritime Museum and you'll see the actual model that Harland & Wolff used whilst building the Titanic as well as seeing the Head Offices of the White Star Shipping Line who built the ill fated ship. You will visit the Museum of Liverpool and during the week you will see inside the Port of Liverpool Building. The tour makes its way past a fascinating water fountain with amazing covered views of our "Three Graces" which include the Cunard Building and you will see our favourite sculpture which your guide will bring to life which represents Liverpool's terrible experience during the blitz in 1941 when much of the city centre which is now the Liverpool One area was destroyed. The tour finishes on a lighter note with a fun selfie at the new Beatles statues close to the Titanic Memorial.
This tour is a great idea for a group of friends from the cruse ship as it starts and finishes a short walk from the Liverpool Cruise Terminal.
