The Medieval City of Chester with its intact Roman Walls and magnificent Cathedral with its Romanesque Arches is an unmissable visit. Your fun guide will show you around the walls, whether you are a strong walker, or show you the walls by the Cathedral if you prefer a slower walk with less steps. You can walk alongside the River and on most days at 12 noon you can take selfies in front of the wonderful Chester Town Crier.

Chester can easily be reached from a stay in Liverpool or as a Cruise Ship Excursion from Liverpool and it is only 45 minutes away by train from Liverpool and if you choose a full day guiding it is recommended you split your tour in to two and include the beautiful tranquil village of Port Sunlight which was built around 1900 by William Hesketh-Lever for the Sunlight Soap Workers.

We recommend that you prebook a group lunch at the Booth Mansion which you can book at Check out. This fabulous house once frequented by Socialites for dances was constructed in 1701 by George Booth who was the Earl of Warrington.

At this stage you are only booking guiding services, and if necessary, we can also discuss suitable transport. Chester is a compact city and walking tours work extremely well allowing us to see much more including things not accessible by car or motor coach.

The tour is flexible & will be customized to your needs.
